The Next Chapter in Learning - Durban Girls' College
Academic excellence, sporting spirit and a true sense of belonging

At College, girls are encouraged to be curious, independent and courageous. They are known and supported as individuals while also being challenged to stretch themselves, embrace opportunity and pursue excellence in the classroom, on the sports field and in the cultural arena.
For North Coast families, College House offers weekly boarding without the demands of a long daily commute. Girls spend four nights on campus and weekends at home with their families. DGC also offers a morning bus service from Ballito for day pupils, as well as a weekly boarding bus.
Sport is an important part of life at DGC for both day girls and boarders. A key advantage is that our extensive sporting and support facilities are all located on campus, giving girls convenient access to training, our state-of-the-art gym, sports recovery room and biokineticist support, with participation and excellence central to our sporting culture.
This will be strengthened further by our new R49-million, 3 370 m² Multi-Functional Indoor Centre, currently under construction and due for completion in mid-2027, our 150th anniversary year. This legacy project is an investment in the future of DGC and in creating a campus equipped for the next generation.
It is a place where girls can grow, belong, discover their strengths and realise their potential.
At Durban Girls’ College, we believe in every girl.
