Seaton Country Club Brings Back the Nostalgia of Community Gatherings

Collins Residential officially celebrated the opening of the Seaton Country Club on 14 May 2026, marking a significant milestone in the continued growth of Seaton Estate and its vision for connected, outdoor coastal living. Residents, homeowners and invited guests gathered for a relaxed afternoon with family-friendly activities for children, in an evening designed to reflect the spirit of the Country Club itself.

At the centre of the estate, the Seaton Country Club has been envisioned as far more than a shared facility. It is intended to become the social heart of the community, a place where people can spend entire afternoons swimming, enjoying a meal, playing sport, connecting with neighbours or simply unwinding outdoors. At the centre of this vision sits the cricket oval, designed as the defining feature and gathering point of the Country Club experience.

“We’ve always believed that the strongest communities are built around shared spaces and shared experiences,” says Murray Collins, CEO of Collins Residential. “If you look at old villages in the UK and many places around the world, there’s always a central gathering place that gives the community its spirit and very often that’s a cricket field. Cricket is one of the oldest games in the world and there’s a real sense of nostalgia attached to it. We wanted to bring some of that feeling into Seaton. A cricket oval is not something you typically see within a residential estate, and that’s what makes it such a special differentiator. Fields naturally bring people together. Children play freely, families spend time outdoors and adults connect more organically. Ultimately, that’s what we’re trying to create at Seaton, a community where people genuinely know each other and enjoy living alongside one another.”
Unlike a traditional clubhouse, which often serves a singular function, a country club is designed as a multi-layered lifestyle destination somewhere there is something for everyone. It becomes part of daily life, not simply a building residents pass through. That philosophy has shaped both the experience and design of the Seaton Country Club from the outset.
Rather than imposing architecture onto the landscape, the first phase of the development has been carefully designed to settle gently into its natural surroundings. The pavilion, pool and entertainment areas sit low within the terrain, allowing the surrounding environment to remain the focal point. Natural textures including timber, stone and sustainable bamboo decking contribute to a softer, more organic aesthetic intended to feel timeless and understated. Lighting throughout the area has also been intentionally designed to minimise light pollution and preserve the peaceful residential atmosphere of the estate.

The newly unveiled pavilion, pool and entertainment spaces represent the first phase of the broader Seaton Country Club vision, with construction of phase 2 already underway. Future additions will include the main clubhouse, gym and Padel facilities, followed by squash courts and supporting amenities in a later phase.
With more than 90% of single residential homesites already sold, the estate continues to attract strong buyer interest driven by its combination of nature, lifestyle and community-focused living. Importantly, the delivery of amenities has been intentionally aligned with the steady growth of the community itself.
The Seaton Country Club represents another milestone in the estate’s continued evolution as a lifestyle-led coastal community centred around connection, wellbeing and shared experiences.
